Birthday wishes

Won't you come and take me away?

I don't have any desire to stay.

Okay, I'll stay here as long as you do too.

The truth is, I just want to be with you.

I'll be blowing out my candles with a sigh.

Asking each one a silent "Why?"

Why aren't you here, the only thing to wish for?

And why is it that if you came, I'd still want more?

Opening presents, they're all wrapped up very pretty.

But the only thing I asked for was for you to be here with me.

Waving goodbye to the guests, sighing that it's over.

Take a walk, wish on a four leaf clover.

Close my eyes, hope you suddenly appear.
